We have a wide range of facilities to support children and young peoples needs no matter the differences. We provide en-suite facilities for all bedrooms and offer a wide range of leisure activities.

Bedrooms
We believe a bedroom isn’t just for sleep, it is a sanctuary for calm that children and young people can use at their leisure. Each bedroom is tailored to each children’s individual needs and is customisable to each child’s taste. Large rooms incorporating a rest area and living/education space.
All bedrooms are equipped with ensuite facilities, including a toilet, sink and shower. At Church View we aim for every child to gain independence in self care skills and ensure all children are well kempt at all times. Children and young people are encouraged to undertake daily tasks with or without assistance (as required) to maintain hygiene. All bathrooms have a calming environment allowing children to use for dis-regulation in addition to hygiene needs.
Kitchen/Diner
Our fabulous kitchen/diner is the hub of the house. We deliver healthy nutritious home made meals no matter the dietary/cultural requirements. We have a large dining table available for children and staff to use in a communal meal time way. We also have seats at a breakfast bar and a smaller table available to suit those who may find mealtimes difficult within a group. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint by shopping locally where possible and reduce heavily processed foods by recreating these within the home with fresh ingredients.
Arcade room
Our commitment to ensure children experience real life experiences readily and comfortably lead us to deliver an arcade room. The arcade room allows children to adjust to the at time overwhelming sensory stimulation of arcades in the aim to allow children to adjust and then explore experiences outside of our home too. We have a range of games available to suit all children’s likes.
Recognising the need for a range of entertainment for children in a setting, not only for day to day but increase exposure to senory stimulus environments we opted to butild a cinema. This area can be ‘rented out’ for families making what once would’ve been a difficult experience much more enjoyable. We show a range of film and ensure there is appropriate screen use.

Sensory Room
The sensory room is an integral part of our home that allows children to access gentle sensory stimulation to help with regulation of behaviours and creating a calming environment. The room features fibre optic lights, bubble tubes, soft padded seating, infinity mirrors, wall bubble features, busy boards, light peg boards, projectors amongst soft furnishings. The room is tucked away from the main corridor, aiming to reduce wider disruptions and is a firm favourite of children and staff alike.
Church view Bungalow has 2 communal bathrooms and 1 communal wet room. Each has a toilet and sink, the wet room has a shower and the bathrooms both have a bath with whirlpool jets, lights and music. This allows children to have a beautiful, calming sensory experience to support regulation and behaviours. Water can be such a therapeutic experience for children and we were keen to maximise this.
Chill Out space
At Church View we felt it was essential that any room felt homely. Our chill out room offers soft lighting and gently sensory stimulation such as bubbles and lights. This aims to bring calm to dysregulation, bedtime or every day challenges. The room includes a variety of seating options, soft furnishings, galaxy projection and dimmable lighting.
