Our Commitment
At Church View Children's Place, we are committed to acting ethically, with integrity and transparency in all aspects of our work. We recognise our responsibility to safeguard children, young people, employees, contractors, suppliers and all those connected to our organisation from exploitation, abuse and modern slavery.
We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking and are committed to preventing all forms of exploitation within our service and supply chains.
Who We Are
Church View Children's Place is a specialist children's residential home providing care and support for up to six children and young people aged 7–19 years with Autism, learning disabilities, complex needs, behaviours that challenge and associated conditions.

Our Commitment to Preventing Modern Slavery
We are committed to ensuring that modern slavery, servitude, forced labour, human trafficking and exploitation do not occur within our organisation or through any organisations we work with.
We achieve this by:
Recruiting staff through safe and robust recruitment procedures.
Completing comprehensive employment checks, including identity verification, right-to-work checks and references.
Ensuring all employees work voluntarily and receive fair pay and working conditions.
Promoting safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion throughout our organisation.
Encouraging staff to raise concerns through whistleblowing and safeguarding procedures.
Working only with reputable suppliers, contractors and partners who share our commitment to ethical practices.
Safeguarding Children and Young People
As a children's residential care provider, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do.
Our staff receive safeguarding training and are expected to remain vigilant to indicators of exploitation, trafficking, criminal exploitation, county lines activity, forced labour and other forms of abuse.
Any concerns relating to modern slavery or exploitation are taken seriously and reported immediately through safeguarding procedures and to relevant agencies where appropriate.
Our Supply Chain
As a small, owner-operated provider, our supply chains are relatively limited and primarily consist of:
Food and catering suppliers
Household and maintenance providers
Educational and recreational resources
Professional services
Care and therapeutic service providers
We seek to work with organisations that demonstrate ethical business practices and compliance with relevant employment and human rights legislation.

Church View Children's Place promotes awareness of modern slavery through:

Clear reporting pathways
We encourage all staff to report any concerns regarding exploitation, abuse or unethical practices.
Reporting Concerns
Any concerns relating to modern slavery, exploitation or human trafficking will be investigated promptly and reported to the appropriate safeguarding authorities, local authorities, law enforcement agencies or regulatory bodies where required.
Continuous Improvement
Church View Children's Place is committed to continuously reviewing and improving our policies, procedures and practices to ensure that modern slavery and exploitation have no place within our organisation.
