Our Story
Church View Children’s Place was a idea born out of passion and a drive to improve the lives of children with Autism, Learning Disabilities and complex medical needs.
Louise and Eddie Riby are the initial drive behind the project and have since been joined by the ultimate staff group. We aim to deliver care like no other, providing therapeutic, holistic support both medically and behaviourally to all children who we care for. Louise saw the potential growth and benefit for children receiving the best care, through her career as a children’s nurse in the NHS and seeks to ensure we offer outstanding services. Louise ended her career in the NHS as a senior nurse and sought to do something incredible with Eddies support. Eddie is a local business man with a passion for community support, this was his biggest passion project to date. Church View was born.
In July 2025 we acquired the home in a state of disrepair. Church View had previously been used as a home for the elderly and had housed 54 residents. Louise and Eddie worked with architects, consultants, key service experts and contractors to create Church View as it is today! Eddie and Louise were keen to ensure Children’s needs came above all else and considered what would give children opportunity to reach their potential in a safe, loving home. After many re designs of the layout we decided to include aspects of both physical and environmental wellbeing including Cinema rooms, games rooms, sensory suits, sensory bathrooms, large bedrooms with ensuite facilities, gyms, education suites and a Hydrotherapy pool. Our aim is not to keep children within the home but equip them with the skills to enable them to access every day activities in the wider world through exposure and safe sensory stimulation.
Children are our passion and our drive to get this right first time. We employ a large body of staff who can cater for all children’s needs. We equally look after our staff to ensure their wellbeing is maintained to support our children and young people in the best way.
Church View Children’s Place is guided by BRAVE values, ensuring children are supported with belonging, respect, advocacy through love, and care that enables growth and positive outcomes.
